This is one of my favorites too. I like this nutball http://www.ted.com/speakers/dan_phillips.html as well. Listening to him talk about recycling materials to use in housing, he comes up with some interesting metaphors for the creative process and speaks into my thoughts about independent filmmaking. The way he describes how we get trapped into one way of thinking about building is very much the way we have trapped ourselves into one way of making art in America.
